Changing legacy moveset

I have a few pokemon that I want to use a charged tm on. The problem I'm having is mostly with dragonite. It knows dragon pulse, a legacy move. The question is, if I change this move, can my dragonite relearn it? With updates and move power changing on a regular basis, I would like to know if I can get the move back if I desire. Since its a legacy move, will it be gone forever?

"Can my dragonite relearn it?" - Probably not. As far as I know, you can only roll moves available now.

That's my thought too...i hate dragon pulse, but since it's a legacy move I don't want to miss out on having something 'rare'...hardest decision of my life

I get that. I have a wa/ft charizard but it serves me well, so I won't change the moveset. I think it depends on what you care about more--do you value rarity or practicality?

What's the urgency? I recommend just waiting it out, and anniversary event just around the corner.

I would keep it honestly since from what I've seen it's easier to dodge with dragon pulse than with outrage. Also it's legacy so yea keep it imo

I know good dragons are hard to come by. That being said they aren't that rare. You'll get another Tini in no time.

I have a DB/DP maxed out and I won't change his moves. I have others that can be changed but once a legacy is removed you can't get it back so why do it?

I think that sooner than later Dragonite will make its appearance on raids and you will be able to get another one with new moves.

Thats a good point. I spent alot of time on maxing out this dragon, but that was when sw/dp was considered the best defensive move set. With the new moves available though, i want it to be the best it can be. Its 3400 and i feel like the move set is holding it back. But with raids going on I can definitely get a new one to work on.

Change Dragon Pulse, Outrage is better. However, it can't learn Dragon Pulse again.

I changed my DB/DP to DB/O. I don't regret it. Dragon Breath is still legacy and Outrage is more or less strictly better than Pulse. You can't dodge with either.

I'd keep it since it's still STAB and Niantic can change moves...

Dragon Pulse could be the best move one day and you'd feel even worst if/when that happens...

Just get new Dragonites and have "those" learn Outrage or Hurricane (for Machamp and general better type coverage)...

Dnite is probably the best "generalist" if you don't have a full 6 ideal counters...I'm debating maxing mine now, but I only have 1 Dnite currently...and dust is much harder to get now and it's easy to blow it all currently on this new raid meta.
