Celebi: Useless?

210 Attack, Metagross has better bulk, it's weak to poison, is there any niche it can be used in?

Like Mew, it could have been a GREAT Machamp deterrent on gym defense with C/DG but noooooo we can't have that.

In cloudy weather, Celebi could help Gardevoir pepper Machamp with DG's but by now most people have their Machamp teams sorted

It's bulk is nothing to write home about though, so either someone would just steamroll it or switch in a fire type.

I mean... yeah, but then that applies to any defender. I'm just saying Celebi would at least be annoying to take out for people who like to use Machamp for everything (like me).

If bulk is HP x Defense, then Celebi is bulkier than Metagross in addition to Celebi's single resistance to fighting moves. As long as C/DP Machamp is the most popular gym attacker, I'd pick Celebi over Metagross any day

Celebi has good bulk, more than Dragonite for example. Mew/Celebi as a defender would wall Machamp very efficiently.

yeah but thats only when they will allow us to put them in gyms...until then i think its useless

Niantic doesn't like depth to their fighting/battle system, so nothing interesting that you're thinking of will happen.

Celebi doesn't really have any potential use at the moment. Psychic type is filled with mons that can do better DPS and it doesn't learn grass moves to take advantage of that type. If Niantic gave it a new grass fast move and Grass Knot, Celebi would make for a competent grass attacker.
