It was probably closer to 60% Cyndaquil, 40% other 'mon for me, but Cyndaquil was weather-boosted here. Still... I caught 64 Cyndaquil and not a single shiny. :'(

That's almost identical to my experience (closer to 50 than 60 I think; enough to evolve three). Turtwig and Growlithe dominated spawns

It was worse for me. Picked through 78 and didn’t get one. The only one in the family who didn’t get any. Everyone else got 3. At least i traded and evolved mine.

Well this was the first community day where the featured pokemon was actually weather boosted here, though the Cyndaquil spawn rate seemed the same as any other cd. I am just happy they finally fixed their weather system.

I caught over 100 Cyndaquil and only one shiny. Another guy got 22 shinies (on 2 phones). I did get over a quarter million in stardust.

During the first hour I wasn't sure who the star of CD was. Tons of stuff that wasn't even weather boosted. But it was sunny for the last hour and they were everywhere. Got a dozen shiny AND...
My first ever 100% shiny!!!!!! Level 35 even!

Happened to me on charmander day. If I didn't know I would have sworn it was machop day I bet I caught more of them than charmander that day.

This was my impression too. Over half the spawns (I'd estimate about 75%) were non-cyndaquil, which was strange but not unheard of for a CD, especially when the weather doesn't boost the particular pokemon. This happened on the charmander CD for me too (it was raining).

Weather turned to clear as soon as cd ended. It was perfect.
