Today, I raided an entei , I was level 17 and I and my group completed the raid I received only 6 balls with no balls for damage bonus , gym control nor contribution by team . Entei have high cp with 1882 , I used golden razz + curve ball + great throw on the first 5 balls and each time entei break the ball , on the last ball I was sure that the pokemon will break the ball and will run away due to last ball glitch so I used banana + curve + great throw + last ball and I was surprised that I cought it .
Have any one explinations for what happen ?

You got lucky.

No last ball glitch anymore.

You might want to buy a lottery ticket.

niantic said on their website that they were giving an extra ball because of the glitch while it was still being resolved plus why waste golden berries on that weak entei

Don't think 'weak entei' means much to a Level 17, not everyone has the magic numbers recited :)

If I was level 17 and managed to get hold of a legendary pokemon (during its last week) and it was nearly 2k CP, I'd be jumping for joy.
