Can we ask for a new new tracker?

Background: I find the new tracker extremely frustrating and inferior to the anterior. Sometimes it only shows pkm a mile away. Sometimes in areas that would be dangerous to walk to (e.g. across the freeway, instead of in the walking space on your side of the freeway--I would have to get in a car to go to those stops, which defeats the point of the game). In what way does this show "nearby" pkm?

Solution?:
Bring back the old nearby list. At least you know what is close to you and can get excited if something interesting pops up and somewhat track it--keep the grass background because the current pokestop background has horrible contrast. To compensate for the pokestop-based system, move the entire system from your "nearby" list to a list generated when you tap a pokestop somewhere on your map. It brings up the pokestop, has the button for placing a lure (which you cannot do, because you are too far away), and has a button or automatic list that pops up with the "sightings" near that pokestop. In this system, you can see what is around you on your nearby list and "scan" the lists at pokestops available on your map for "public" sightings of pkm. Does that make sense? Any better ideas floating around that could grab Niantic's attention?

It is true..the only time i went after a decent dude on the tracking it was at least a quarter mile away, across a four lane highway..but i had my bike. Honestly it lends totally to those driving under tge poke influence folks. It is cool to see images of actual chosen habitat spawns though

I seem to be mixing terms. "Nearby" should refer to those nearest a pokestop, and "Sightings" should refer to those nearest you.

Another option I just read on the forums:
A tab to switch between "Nearby" and "Sightings".

I hate this new tracker. It has ruined the game for me.
No stops near me so now I see nothing. Used to be fun to try and hunt down an interesting mon in the neighbourhood. That's over.
