Can we add one more feature to the trainer code list?
Its a pretty neat little feature. I just have one suggestion. Can we have a way to make a statement or send someone a message? I ask this because I really don't have the desire to have 200 friends. That being said, I go to the Mall of America on a very regular basis, and it happens to be a tourist destination. It would be cool to meet up and trade with someone if they ever happened to be there. I would just like a way for people that location and contact me to become friends, rather than having 200 random friends.

But - that means you need to friend a 200 people and hope one of them is coming to Mall of America. Still an unlikely event,
Sounds to me like you need to find a website that connects travelers together. With millions and millions and millions of pokemon Go players it seems insanely unlikely (though not impossible) that someone you blindly friend will not onld end up at Mall of American, but be there the same time as you.
Maybe there will be a Discord channel some day? I don't think it's realistic to ever expect it in-game. The servers are buckling under the pressure of gift-giving. Can you imagine if they opened messaging? Not only that, but open messaging opens an entire host of problems by itself.
Or go to mall of America with a T-Shirt made up that says, "I trade regionals!" on it and wear it when you're there. Seriously. This seems like a good idea to me. I've people at my Busch Gardens wearing "I'm Playing Pokemon Go" shirts. I always walk up to them and have a quick chat. It's a blast. ...Now with trading? OMG a whole new level and reason to say hello.
I absolutely don't want the issues of open chat, especially with the fact that 13 and 14 (and younger) year olds are going to play, and then all the issues that presents. I do have my kids set up under my PTC account for the TCG online, so they have an adult account, but they have a carefully curated friends list consisting only of family members and a couple of family friends. They played another online game with open chat + friends, and that got swiftly deleted when people started talking to them.
