Bullet Seed or extrasensory?

I have always thought that extrasensory was the best quick move (not legacy) for Exeggcutor. In fact, BS+SoB is rated B in this site for attack. However, I see that Bullet seed is the only mentioned quick move to counter Vaporeon.

I have a E+SoB IV96 Exeggcutor and a quick attack TM. Is it worth to use it to have BS+SoB?

I am a 31 level player and I always play alone, so I want to optimize my Exeggcutor squad to try a Vaporeon raid solo. I don't think I can solo another 3* raid boss.

They're both good movesets, so it's not worth a tm imo.

Bullet Seed is rather underwhelming against anything that is not weak to it. It is good vs. vaporeon, but so is Extrasensory.

I prefer same type moves in my pokemons. Also, SE is now more usefull than STAB, so again rhydon, golem and maybe vaporeon, tyranitar is better to have BS.

I haven't used a tm on Exeggutor yet, but I've stopped using my zh/sob's and strictly use my bs/soB since the update. For me changing to seed bomb was the difference between soloing a vape boss and not.

Against Rhydon BS is better because of the double weakness. Against vape and other single weakness mons its very close statistically with the classic DPS to EPS trade off. It really comes down to if BS charges Sob soon enuff for you to use a 2nd time, if not EX does more damage usually in a one Sob cycle. EX is better against machamp obviously.

I guess that is the difference. BS charges SoB faster so, if you are lucky, you can use the charge move once more time.

You seem to have all the facts you need. Vape is tough. you will need a couple of them at least depending on his moveset and it's still touchy. ES is great and so is confusion but the fact is he does not have a charge move that rivals SoB even if grass is SE. And if you're going Psychic there's other mons like Alakazam that is a damage monster. And most 3* battles are close things

I wouldn't use a TM here though. I would catch so wild ones and evolve them. Which is exactly what I've done.

I would like to see your top mons for a more reasonable solo mon goal for concentration. Plus you're getting a Vape for beating him. Don't you need Zams or Machamps more?

I would say try to evolve for a Bullet seed, Idk how rare Exxegcute is for you but I have 1 of each 4 quick moves with Solar beam, my biggest regret is all the ones I transferred before Gen 2 with Seed Bomb. I would not waste a TM for a specialist for 1 pokemon

Problem is that I transferred all the exeggcutes with low IVs, and all I have left is some hatched ones. So, I could get one with BS (and SoB) but I'll have to spend a lot of dust after that.

Exeggcute is rare here, although Ivm full of candies thanks to a nest time ago.
