Bugged or extremely lucky?

Last night my wife and i were walking to a raid. At the pokestop before the gym she took a dragonscale. After the raid passing the same pokestop again she got a metal coat... we thought it was strange so waited five minutes to spin again and she got a sun stone. If we weren't in a hurry to get to the supermarket before it closed we would've stayed longer to try again. I didn't know it was possible to get these items without the 7 day bonus? Or is it?

I guess it's not coincidence, 3 in a row is unbelievable. Only your wife got evolution items?

Yeah just her. I got just regular potions and pokeballs

You can definitely get evo items from regular spins, but they are very rare. So, for her to get 3 in a row was extremely extremely lucky, but definitely possible.

Did she use the right sequence to trigger the release of the evolution items? Usually the sequence is

You put your right foot in
You take your right foot out
You put your right foot in
And you shake it all about

That should do the trick. If not use the left foot.

She did not however the day before a pigeon did shit on my head aftervwhich i bought a 1€ scratch and win and won nothing. So I'm supposing that the pokemon gods took my filthily earned lucked and gave it to her

that is just extremely lucky, ive got max two evo items in one day from pokestops but not in the same one and not five mins later

But yes it is possible you can get evo items outside 7 day streak

idk funny you should mention that because sunday i did the same almost, spun a stop got a metal coat, came back after it turned blue again and got another metal coat. i thought it was lucky then two stops later spun a dragon scale. i cannot remember the last time i got a special item from a pokestop. oh and today i spun a sunstone, so who knows....
