Bug Bite damage question

Paras is listed as having 122 base attack, while Venonat is listed as having 108 base attack.

The true DPS for bug bite for both of them is listed as 8.89

Is this an error, or is the difference in base attack not enough to influence their DPS?

I think it's actually a...bug LOL

The difference between DPS w/stab and true DPS is that the second one takes into account the attack value of the pokemon using this move.

A possible explanation is that the damage is so low (they calculate the true damage vs a 200 def pokemon) that the effect of roundings equalize the slightly difference in the 2 base attacks (122 vs 108)

It's so satisfying seeing posts here that doesn't begin with "I have a 100% pokemon with 500 CP and a 97% pokemon with 700 CP, which one..."
