Boston Waterfront - Where to go?

Going to be in Boston next week, near the BCEC and Waterfront areas. Most of my transportation will be on foot or mass transit - I won't have a car.

A few quesitons:

First, given it's adventure week, are there any mass transit routes that are particularly good for racking up kilometers? I only walk at about 3.5MPH, would like to do a bit better, but don't feel safe jumping on a scooter or bike in a strange city where I don't know the traffic patterns.

Second, where are the prime poke hunting areas? Any good nests? Where do the Dratini spawn?

Is there a communal citywide pokemon scanner?

I think Niantic will decrease Dratini's spawn rates, just like the water event.

At most of the time, the GPS system is unable to find you whenever you are in a mass transit, except being in a station or using public wi-fi.

Dratini will spawn where magikarp do along the course of the muddy river, near the christ scientist reflecting pool downtown (much of which is currently closed off for repairs), and near fountains/ponds on the common. The spawns are rare and sporadic but do occur if you want to waste 4-5 hours to catch a couple (less time if you cheat). I can't speak to the waterfront. I've been playing since the inception of the game, and have only come across 40 wild dratini or so, and the vast majority of those in the first few weeks.

Found bostonpogomap.com.

The waterfront looks like very good hunting - plenty of Magikarp, Chinchou, Poliwag (which I filtered out, but I still want poliwag) and currently there are three dratini and a larvitar.

I think that's going to be my walking route.... Way better than anywhere around here. I'm sure to get my second Gyrados at the very least.

Around the public gardens/common is generally good for Pokemon hunting in my visits to the city
