Bonus XP

Earlier, I caught a ~200 CP Pidgey using a razzberry and one Pokeball. I earned 100 XP for catching it and another 100 XP that was called "Bonus." I didn't throw it in the inner circle so it couldn't have been a throw bonus. Any explanation?
