Have you tried clicking on the #1 popular pokemon of the day link right over there ------->

Is it that hard to look at the moves and determine which one is the best quick and which one is the charge?

It's actually more complicated than that, which is why optimal move sets for offense and defense are seldom the same.

My gripe with the question is that its been asked to death since gen 2 launched. its getting annoying already everytime every hour is another Blissy question!

There's more to what makes a good move than just raw DPS. Especially defensively...

  1. Pound/Hyper Beam
  2. Pound/ Dazzling Gleam
  3. Zen Headbutt/ Hyper Beam
  4. Zen Headbutt/ Dazzling Gleam

Blissey's moves don't matter too much, but with the lowest stat being attack by a lot stab is really important.

for attacking pound/hyperbeam but for defense zen/Dazz

I agree blissey moveset doesn't matter much he usually win by time out. but with 2 meters dazzling gleem will force the attacker to dodge more and will lead to higher chance of winning by timeout

also zen does 12 damage and pound only does 8 even with stab bonus pound only does 10. But pound is slightly faster which is more ideal for attacking.

(Stab is only 25% I believe)

I put my blissey in a new gym with three mons. It was attacked and left standing by itself after numerous attacks

Haven't been battling any Blissey, but based on comments from many I'd day Zen Headbutt (coverage against Fighting weakness) and Dazzling geam (hits hard, 2 bar) is the most optimal defending combination.

Neither of the quick moves particularly matter, they are both really close. Prob the same story for Charged moved- as long as you don't get HYPERBEAM. Hyper Beam sucks defending. If I had to hazard a guess, Dazzling Glean edges out Psychic because it's SE vs Dragonite and, I think, Gengar.

HB is probably better for defense than Psychic ... both are one-bar charge moves and Hyper Beam has much higher base damage + STAB.

I evolved my Chansey into a Blissey today and got ZH/DG. It is maxed out for my level near 3,000 and has 401 HP. Where do I pick up my trophy? ...just mail it to me. ;)

I fought some today. My observation is that you need to spam attacks in order to beat the time out, which makes it hard to dodge the charge move. I was able to dodge HB because of the long wind up (and then didn't have to worry about it for awhile) but had a hard time getting out of the way of Psychic. DG also has a long wind up, but two bars, which is challenging to dodge when spamming. ZH has a higher defensive DPS than pound and also has the type advantage against Fighting.

I think any move set is worth powering up if you have good IVs.
