Vaporean, Arcanine, Charizard, Victreebel, Venusaur, Vileplume, Ninetales, Goldduck.

I like victreebel because he's fast to dodge, he is just nice to handle, with vileplume and venusaur i mis sometimes a dodge. (I don't have a venusaur with vine whip so maybe that effect my choice also) Same with vap as victreebel.

Based on how often I attack with or Put in Gyms.
1) Vaporeon
2) Venusaur
3) Arcanine
4) Victrebell
5) Vileplum
6) Charizard
7) Blastoise
8) Goldduck
9) Ninetails

I don't think I ever put 6-9 in Gym or spend dust on them or use them outside of prestige upping a gym.

Now my ranking is based on the fact that their are more strong waters out there than anything. So I am biased toward grass and away from fire.

Vaporeon (great attacker, crushes fire types)
Arcanine (great attacker, crushes grass types)
Victreebel w/ Solar Beam (does well against water types)
Vileplume (same as above, feels less nimble)
Venusaur (same as above, feels less nimble)
Charizard (not great but cool to look at)
Golduck (ghetto version of Vaporeon)
Blastoise (see above)
Ninetails

In preference order based on the team I most often use, along with moveset they have.
1. Arcanine (FF/FB)
2. Vaporeon (WG/HP)
3. Venusaur (VW/SoB)
4. Charizard (WA/DC) -- used to take down Dragonites
5. Blastoise (WG/FC) -- used only for training
6. Golduck (WG/HP)
7. Vileplume/Victreebel --never use since I have yet to roll optimal attack move sets
8. Ninetales -- never used in battle

best: Vapor (zero drawbacks to this mon)
Venusaur (good counter to Vaporeon)
Arcanine (one of the best pure attackers, somehow even against waters)
Victreebel/Vileplume (weaker versions of venusaur)
Blastoise/Golduck (weaker versions of vaporeon)
Ninetales (weak version of Arcanine, can be useful for certain matchups if you get Feint Attack, it helps vs those water/psychic types e.g. Slowbro, Starmie)

I hate vaporeon. OP stats, 1 quick move(wtf), boring charge moves(all water,all good). Ruined release of game. Negates many other water options for power players. Lame!
