Bite/crunch gyarados

Trying hard to figure out how to convert my previous attackers/defenders into something relevant for the current game and save myself some dust. I have a high IV gyarados 2950 CP with the moveset DT/Crunch. Is it worth using a TM changing DT to bite in order to prepare for the cats? I have 3 fast left but I am considering what to do with my exegutors as well, which is for another day of musing...

If I was swimming in dust I would power up a different one since I have a few with bite/crunch at level 20. I suspect with move changes potentially on the horizon bite may go away as an option and maybe get some flying move option or something else..

A dark Gyarados is a good option against psychic types with focus blast. I would probably do it if I had a crunch Gary.

Very unlikely Gyarados will get flying. In the main series games he went without for at least 4 gens. When he did get a STAB move there it was Bounce. That feels more like a charge move to me.
