Best prestigiers?

Prestiging is the most overlooked aspect of the game, and I think is necessary to investigate it, even to create a tier list with optimal match ups.

I find dodging a key factor in prestiging, and I usually choose low level top attackers as prestigiers, but mons like chansey and wiggly are recognised prestigiers due to their HP and good ofensive movesets. Im curious about your strategies and teams, so...
What are your prestiging team and tips?

Mine is esencially a 1120 WH Vaporeon, 1330 VS Venusaur, 1280 BF Arcanine, 1360 ZP Exegg, 1540 FB (100% IV!) Cloyster and a 900 PH Chansey, and im looking for a low level good Rhydon for Snorlax. And always dodge!

Usually keep 5+ Victreebel 1300-1600 range for the hordes of Vaporeon. I have 5 Wigglytuff ranging from 1000-1600 that do well against Snorlax if you can dodge decent. I've caught or Hatched 9 Snorlax, so I even kept the 800 and 950 that I got, and for some matchups, where a low level trainer drops something less than ideal. Dewgong even work well as prestigers with the right ice move set on stray eggocuters, and dragonites, with far less Cp. Also cheaper to get what you want/need over Lapras.

I do recommend evolving up a Golem to take that Rhydon spot. Easier to obtain, and will do the same job without burning Rhyhorn candy.

Just my 0.02

Pokemon with high stamina tend to do very well for prestigeing, in fact I find an appropriate pokemon with 0 ATK IVs and max Def and HP I try to evovled them for prestiging.

My most used are Parasects, Tangelas (Vaporeon and Rhydon) Pidgeot (Snorlax and Exeggutor), but Slowbros, Vaporeons, and Dewgongs are one I'd like to get for training as well

Also for three stage pokemon, I always check the moves of the first evolution before moving to the second. If the first evolution gets a good attacking moveset, rather than gamble on possibly getting a bad moveset with the second evolution, I keep it and use it for training. There are four especially that I have come to appreciate:

Wartorle with Water Gun+Hydro Pump
Ivysaur with Vine Whip+Solar Beam
Machoke with Low Kick+Cross Chop
Graveler with Rock Throw+Stone Edge

The obvious best choice are top attackers with low cp, but I really like using different pokemon like seadra or golduck instead of vaporeon or blastoise, tangela over venusaur, ninetales over arcanine, sandslash, nidoking and queen, hypno, dewgong, scyther, primeape, magneton, jynx, magmar, pidgeot, raichu, parasect... This is really nice, make the game less boring and give a use for the pokemon I would never use and just have to complete pokedex.

I really like having the opportunity to pick diverse mons for training, so I train gyms around me a lot. I base my prestige team on the gym defenders I have to face, so I'll list the ones that I like to use the most against each common defender:

  • vs Vaporeon: Tangela, Parasect (w/ Solar Beam)
  • vs Snorlax: Snorlax, Wigglytuff
  • vs Dragonite: Seadra (w/ Blizzard), Dewgong, Wigglytuff
  • vs Gyarados: Jolteon, Raichu
  • vs Lapras: Tangela, Jolteon, Raichu
  • vs Rhydon: Tangela, Seadra, Golduck, Starmie
  • vs Exeggutor: Parasect, Pinsir, Pidgeot, Scyther, Raticate
