Best method to obtain Tyranitar?

Hi, I live in NYC near a beach/harbor so I was eventually able to farm enough Dratinis to get a Dragonite with spare candy to power up to a decent level after farming enough.

Now I'm on to Tyranitar. Was fortunate enough to catch a single Larvitar during Adventure week, but now have to start the grind to get a T-tar. Can anyone give me any tips on the quickest way to farm? I don't get how everyone and their mother around me seems to have a Tyranitar and like 5 Dragonites. Any life hacks to make it easier or tips on common spawns? Thanks!

Maybe a Raid?

My first Level 4 raid was a Tyranitar. Wasn't able to catch it even with golden berries. My second Level 4 was a Lapras and I did catch that one. Higher level Raids seems to be the easiest way to get these harder Pokemon now.

Definitely. Living in NYC there should be no shortage of Tyranitar raids.

Oh for sure. My town has maybe 50 gyms if that. Not many stops either compared to NYC. Good luck, you'll get one soon .

Thank you all for the helpful advice! I'll probably take a trip next week to Central Park when I'm not wiped from work! Actually ran into my first level 4 raid earlier this afternoon, and it was a Blastoise!!!! Just missed the timer on defeating it, but it was an interesting experience.
