Catch everything , save up anything that's 12 or 25 candy too evolve till u have about 80-100 then do mass evolves during a lucky egg . I used to do them at midnight so I can get 2x xp on first catch/spin on the day . Also now that friends are out lucky egg anytime u hit ultra or best friends . Take advantage of xp events also

Best lvl 30+ tips and overall advice
What’s should I be focusing on in my level 30s? I’m lvl 32 and I play solo usually. What should my game plan be for getting up to max level and just good routines to get into? Anything helps

The best way to reach level 40 is friendship XP, by far. You get, under lucky egg, 100k per Ultra Friend, and 200k per Best Friend. If you want to level up the quickest, get as many friends as possible, send/accept gifts very consistently, and use a Lucky Egg to accept a bunch of friendships at once. It also might be cool to get eggs from Europe, Australia, etc., so put your code on pages with those trainers. As far as what else you should be doing around level 30, I would say try getting a bunch of relevant mons leveled up to level 30 - Kyogre, Machamp, Dragonite, Metagross (especially), etc. That way you're ready for most gym battles and tier 3's that you can solo.
Cover some types fully, i.e. get about 4 pokémon of each relevant or generally useful type. Start out by getting them to level 30.
Rock: (Tyranitar), Rhyperior
Dragon: Dragonite, (Rayquaza)
Fighting: Machamp
Water: (Kyogre), Gyarados
Ghost/Dark: (Mewtwo), (Gengar), Tyranitar, Weavile
currently useful:
Ground: (Groudon), Rhyperior, (Golem)
Stuff in brackets is there because of limited availability (move), high cost or worse base stats than others of the type.
Other types I would cover with one or 2 mons are psychic (Mewtwo, (Alakazam) and Espeon) and fire ((Moltres) Heatran, Charizard, Flareon) and possibly electric (Raikou, Electivire, Jolteon). They are not useful in the foreseeable future though.
