Berry-fed Blisseys impossible to solo?

Saw a yellow gym with a low-level raid about to start in 20 minutes.
Defeated all six defenders. Healed.
Beat all the weakened defenders again. Healed again.
Swept through the gym. Knocked out five defenders.
Only Blissey left, at max (~3000) CP. Someone must have fed her a berry.
Beat the Blissey. CP down to ~2200. Healed.
Defeated her again. CP down to ~1400. Healed again.
Third victory over her. CP...down from ~3000 to ~2200?
Guess I need to be faster with healing and attacker selection.
My L30 Count/DP Machamp and L30 DT/OR Dragonite won quickly.
Took her CP down to ~1400 again. Time to knock her out!
Her CP went back to ~2200! Repeat cycle thrice.
Could not knock out the Blissey before the raid started.
Nobody showed up for the raid (I already used my pass).
This would happen thrice with Blisseys at three different gyms.
Was I dealing with spoofers or just determined defenders?
Can one player feed a Blissey from ~1400 CP to ~3000 CP that fast?

Its pretty tough to beat a Blissey 11 times in 30 minutes. The actual combat time is doable but with the team selection and battlescreen there are a lot of wasted minutes. I'm don't believe it to be impossible, but very difficult. Especially since you have to manually choose Machamp Every time and he's never atop anyone's list.

Edit: to answer your question one golden berry will fully re-motivate Blissey. One player can feed one pokemon ten berries in 30 minutes.

Golden berries aren't exactly rare right now, I'm back to the point where I'd feed 4 or 5 to a Blissey if I was bored. 3 days ago I was bored enough to TM my biggest two Blisseys from HB to DG--got dazzling gleam on the first try both times!!!! Exciting!

If your area has high gym turnover, it is normal for players to feed berries when a low level raid is starting, just to get the guaranteed 6 coins. Especially for yellow and red teams.

You can feed your Pokemon remotely you know. A determined player feeding a 3000+ Blissey is tough to take down with only 20 minutes until the raid begins, add others feeding it spoofers or not to get the gym control bonus and it could be next to impossible in that 20 minutes.

Yes. A gym that is actively defended is impossible to take down regardless of whatever trick you are using.

Not true. A team of 4 can take down any gym no matter how many people are berrying so long as no one interrupts and begins attacking without permission.

How? No matter how many players are attacking, one victory still only removes 1/3 motivation, and as soon as that third is removed the mon(s) can be fed. Additionally, the attackers have to deal with the time it takes to get back to the gym screen between battles, before attacking again.

There's an exploit someone figured out that you can use with 3 or more people that can take a Pokemon down from full motivation to 0 without the opportunity for the defending player to use a berry. However, the attack needs to be coordinated and cannot be done by one person.

Interesting, but sounds like far more trouble than it's worth.

Not true. In our area high turn over and hardcore players can hold gym for hours. Ex raid gyms never got flipped 6 hours before raid. One time we had 30+ players attacking an ex raid egg gym defended by 3 for an hour and we couldn’t take it down. Adding new Pokémon while under attack timer got reset twice during the battle.

I experienced that a lot when I was trying to attack gyms, where CP3000+ Blissey was the 3rd defenders. After knocking out the first 2 defenders with no heals, I thought I can quickly dispatched Blissey and the rest. But everytime I took it down to the final CP before getting knocked out, someone will keep feeding golden berry to it. Tried several times but same thing happened. In the end, after 10 or so minutes, 2 new defenders joined in at the 5th and 6th spot. I decided to leave and not waste any more time and potions to take the gym solo.
