I am addicted but I only go out to "just" play on weekends, around 2-3h or aprox 8-10km. The rest of the days I play on my way to work or back home, but I have to admit I have made a slightly longer route to walk more so I can get 5km per day at least, around 1h-1h30.
I don't feel it is a waste of time at all because I have to go to work anyways so there is that, and the weekends are for me, why not spend the time that a movie lasts playing and walking on the street? I have a lot of time for other things even playing 2-3h on weekends and it is a more healthier hobby for sure.
Full time job as a platoon commander, father of a one year old. Been playing hard every opportunity I have. Do a lot more cardio instead of strenght exercises and insist I always take the boy for long strolls. The perfectionist in me is what lures me to work for the high tier ones and the aspect of combining it with physical stamina is what keeps me playing. I absolutely see all the flaws in the game and really do not understand why they dont change several of the mechanics of the game, the useless shit in eggs and the unfairness of being a rural player are the worst for me.
VERY ADDICTED
delayed time for studying
and delayed some social life
I join the magikarp anonymous
it's a continous thought in my mind:
should I power up this Snorlax or the other? Should I evolve another Larvotar or power up my Tyranitar?
How will I het all the candies to max Muk and Ampharos?
How and when will I get the Depot Agent Steel Medal?
Toxic...

Quite addicted. It was worse a few years ago when I played Need for Speed World where game play was far more immersive, socially interactive, demanding on skills, and rewarding when you get good at it.
Pokémon GO is briefly rewarding when you finally get a nice species of high IV, level and move set - only to see it wiped out of a gym 15 minutes after you placed it.
My team leader, Blanche, was available for an analysis:
"Your addiction to Pokemon GO is a wonder!
It is matched equally by an addiction to the GP Q&A board.
It is matched equally by a lack of addiction to housework.
Your addiction exceeds my calculations! It's incredible.
This ends my analysis."
Sounds pretty hopeless....
Well, of all the addictions in life, this is probably one of the better ones, involving exercise, stress relief and fun. (Never mind lack of sleep, risk of injury by tripping over or running into obstacles staring at your phone, stressing over your inability to go after a Snorlax on the sightings because your boss thinks work is more important....)
Kinda addicted.
I don't go out just to play much anymore, but if I'm out, I look catch and spin as much as possible. I also take pokestop-optimized routes going to work, stores, etc.
Try to stay in 10 gyms which means a few trips out each week to battle in gyms. Maybe a couple hours a week there.
Check in on this site and TSR a couple times a day.
I've always liked walking and exploring.
Pokemon franchise has been special to me since childhood.
And now the two things combined? Why the heck not? My only concern is whether it'll be worth investing years into it, or rather, how long it would take Niantic to make it into a real Pokemon game, which absolutely requires trading and PvP. Though just PvP alone would be enough for me, because when I spend a lot of time in a multiplayer game, testing my skill against others is the ultimate purpose. Trading would just revolve around legacy movesets and shinies in my case, I can live without that.
I like an addiction that makes me walk. It is much better than an addiction, that makes me sit in front of my computer which i had before.
Mayby i am only very addicted, not seriously because
- until now i resisted the temptation to spend more than 10€s and
- yesterday, in the evening, i had to reclaim 6 Gyms that had been taken over the day, and i simply ignored this and went to bed.
