Base Stats more equal?

Well, this new base stats calculation is excellent.

I don't now exactly how, but they fixed one great mistake of poGO that is taking both Attack and Sp. Attack (original game attack stats)in equal measure to make the Attack base stat.

Before, only the pokemons with both high attack and sp.attack in the original game got good attack in poGO (i.e. Arcanine, Dragonite, Flareon). This poor calculation method let the pokemon that were beats in only one type of attack (i.e. Alakazam and Gengar with sp. attack / Kingler and Pinsir with attack) to be wasted in the garbage.

Now the calculation is somehow taking into consideration the only type of attack that matter for some pokemon but not forgeting the ones that are already very strong.

The same goes for defense, but defense is less important on this game. Please coment

I've been too busy playing to even try finding out if the new stats are based on figures from the older games or some other formula, but yes I also like the new changes just for the greater variety they will bring.

(Frankly, I'd be happy if they did an even more complete overhaul and incorporated stats like Spc. Atk/Dfns into PoGo.)

And sure, I'm a little sad to see a few of my favorite attackers get nerfed, but I'm also about to discover some new favorites :)
