Bagon CD Possibility and Predicted Exclusive Move

Wondering if Bagon could have its own CD and get a powerful exclusive move. And which move could it learn, as current Dragon type charge move Draco Meteor is already kind of special (CD move for Dragonite).

From a quick glance at the main series movepool, it seems that there's two STAB moves with potential to become powerful new charge moves for Salamence, those being Fly and Dragon Rush. Fly would have to be amazing to make up for the lack of same type fast move, while Dragon Rush would also have to be great to be an upgrade. Salamence could off course get Outrage, which would be an upgrade, but an extremely boring one.

Regardless, there's not much reason to have a Salamence right now so might as well not evolve any Bagons.

It’s possible. It used to switch back and forth between starters and the first stage of 3-stage evolution groups that hatch from 10km eggs in dex order, but they skipped Slakoth and Trapinch (thankfully) and went straight to Beldum (probably). Bagon comes before Beldum in the Pokédex, but with them breaking from the old trend anything is possible.
October is Beldum
November is Cyndaquil
December could be Bagon, or Ralts (but I doubt we’ll see Ralts community day), or a gen 4 like Gabite, assuming gen 4 is released around Halloween.

As for the move, it’s capable of learning a bunch of different dragon moves including Twister, Outrage, Dragon Claw, Dragon Pulse, Dragon Rage, Dragon Rush (I don’t think those last two are in GO).

And for fast moves it could have dragon breath.

Or they could go off-type and give it something random. I think a 2 or 3 bar charge move would be nice.

or December could be Slakoth or Trapinch. I can see why they skipped Slakoth, but Trapinch could use a nice move and become relevant.

I can't really see any good reason to skip Slakoth. Giving Slaking a useable fast move or a different charge move wouldn't break the game and I think it's a fairly popular pokemon in POGO due to its humongous CP.

Flygon sadly doesn't have much chance since its stats are so low, but maybe it could become a decent non-legendary ground attacker with a good charge move.

Not sure I agree with that. A usable fast move on Slaking could make it a real game changer (as opposed to the dex filler/scary looking cream puff in gyms role it currently has). Balancing it would be the key, too good a fast move, and with its stats, Katie bar the door.

With the best normal-type fast move in the game (Pound), it would equal Rayquaza in neutral DPS. That makes it a relevant attacker but it's by no means game-breaking or meta-defining. Neutral damage is rarely useful so Slaking would just become another good generalist that loses to dedicated specialists in most matchups, and the best fairy-type DPS.(Source DPS/TDO chart)

Unless they introduce a new fast move with absolutely busted stats for it, there's absolutely no need to worry about balancing.

Definitely wouldn't mind getting a 2 or 3 bar move for Salamence. It's notably less bulky than Dragonite and sometimes DM feels really risky to use.

it doesn't have to be an upgrade. for CD with powerful mons they seem to go for "different" more often than "better". Perhaps Beldum will be the exception.

Metagross’ exclusive move is set to be Meteor
Mash, a powerful Steel-Type move in the main games. I’m assuming it will be a two-bar charge move with 90 damage.

Keep in mind base power alone isn't telling enough of a move's potential. Compare Hydro Cannon's absurdly high power cycle to that of Last Resort. I'd love for Meteor Mash to be amazing but we won't know until the day actually comes.

I just said... perhaps Beldum will be the exception. Point being, it’s possible Bagon CD gives out a move without STAB.

Or a move that gives it some running in the flying department. Without STAB on Fire Fang it obviously wouldn't hold a candle to Moltres or Rayquaza but it could be the best non-legend in the role at least.

EDIT: Or possibly it could be as good as the other two. The move would have to be about as good as Sky Attack for that to happen though.

I myself haven't got any good Bagon so I won't evolve it anyway. Yet my wife has a ADS 151512 level 30 lucky Bagon and she is seriously considering evolve it up. I guess I should convince her to wait but I'm not sure if I can have it done lol.
