Attacking opposing gym

I've been getting into gym battling more now and was wondering about the prestige loss when attacking an opposing teams gym. I know when training against a friendly gym, if all your pokemon have half the CP or less of the lowest defender you gain 1000 prestige per pokemon beat.
Does CP affect the amount of prestige the other teams gym loses or is it the same amount regardless of CP?

No, use the stronger ones you have, if you defeat one the enemy gym will lose 1000 prestige, if you defeat them all, it will lose extra 1000 prestige, and will always be 1000 prestige per loss, no matter if you win with a 10 cp magikarp or 3600 tyranitar
