I was wondering which opinions are out there regarding the IV spreads of attackers.
I've seen some people say that it's best to have high IVs on attack in order to cause more damage and finish the defender more quickly. Others say that it's more important to have high IVs on defense or HP if the respective base stat is significantly lower than a pokemons attack base stat (which is the case for many good attackers).
Personally, I tend to agree more with the first argument. When attacking, you often use a pokemon that resists the defender's moves and you are also able to dodge, making defense and HP somewhat less important in my opinion.
I'm aware that, in practice, IV's usually only make a minimal difference. This clearly is more of a theoretical question, so I'm asking people to keep wise comments such as "it doesn't matter" to themselves. Thanks!

In raids, the dodge bug normally occurs as terrible as possible. Before you can at least deal a little damage during the loop, now you can't do anything even switching pokémon, or you would cause the Pokémon that you switched into to faint.

Attack IVs are used for the 1 additional damage per quick attack, you don't want to fail soloing Machamp by dealing one Hit Point less.

Hmm, why downvote? Both his points are valid.
I dodge EQ on a Snorlax boss and ended up with no dead Machamp and only +1 premier balls for individual damage(probably the only raid I did not did max damage among participants). Got dodge bug after dodged EQ, needed to switch mons for first 2 Machamps.

I want max damage during raids, either solo or in group, so attacks one are most important at first sight. But also def and stamina, since a minimal increase can grant me the time for an extra charge move (but that is hard to calculate, so less important :) ).
My current view? Minimum IV 96, ideally attack 15. Otherwise the mon will stay at lvl 30. Exceptions? On the spot, only if needed to solo a raid and Tyra, which I have at 91 IV tops, if I will not have better if legendaries came.

In certain limited situations, yes. Due to the rounding damages discussed above. The difference was once pronounced for Blissey but not as much anymore. On some of the 3* solo raid bosses it may be just enough on a set of mons to get you through since some battles are pretty tight.
