I usually have only 1 or 2 neutral attackers ( dragonite, snorlax and now tyranitar with dark atacks ).

I evolved my Larvitar 87% and it has bite + crunch.

Pokémon:

Dragonite 96% 3400cp Tail + Outrage
Snorlax 80% 3000cp Lick + Bodyslam
Tyranitar 87% 2700cp ( I will power up to 3100 + ) Bite + Crunch

I dont know what should I use to attack and what to use to put at gyms.

I read it: https://pokemongohub.net/user-guides/tyranitar-vs-dragonite-round-two/

Because of it I was thinking to use my tyranitar to attack.

I would keep the Tyranitar as an attacker unless you have no other high CP defenders. In function he is not a good defender except by virtue of his high CP.

That dragonite is a pretty good defender because of the movesets, dragon tail's cooldown time is long so I don't like to use it to attack.
Lick is a really bad defensive move so the snorlax should be an attacker.
Tyranitar is always a bad defender because of vaporeon and machamp.

Tail + outrage still good to attack. I used it and it is very good.
Prob the best to attack and defend. My opinion and: https://pokemon.gameinfo.io/en/pokemon/list/top-attackers?legacy

Snorlax is not a good attacker. Always for defense unless you are lacking quality attackers.

I usually use snorlax to attack when I'm with 2 or more friends and I have no heal itens. But I can understand you.

I'm tired of seeing this. There are more effective attackers but just don't say Snorlax isn't a great attacker. I have a 3100 L/HB Snorlax and he mows down 2 3100+ Dragonites plus a couple of mediocre defenders before fainting. Where I live, the average lowest CP mons in the gyms are 2800.

Wait. Did that article mention Tyranitar counters and omit Vaporeon and claim Dragonite is the best defender at the same time?

Yes, because Ice is the best use to counter Dragonite. Have a good ice pokemon is harder tem have a good water tipe.

The article did not said that dragonite is invencible, just said that he is better than tyranitar in defense.

The article says: """With decent if not strong Legacy moves and even stronger new moves, with only Tyranitar (with Stone Edge) to contest him, Dragonite is by far the best Defender in the current meta. """

Which I read as the best defender overall but I'm guessing that wasn't the intent.

I think that everyone knows that snorlax and blissey is the best defenders.

Are you asking how to use those pokemon, or are you looking for help building an attacking team?

I will use 1 or 2 of those pokemon to attack. I dont need 3 or more "neutral" attacker. I usually use attackers with 'super efective'.

A good alakazam is a great all-around attacker. Psycho Cut doesn't do as much dps as Confusion, but I prefer it for attacking so you can dodge easily, which is a must with Zam. I have a 97% Zam with Psycho Cut / Psychic at level 39. He is awesome against almost anything.

I dont have a good alakazam =(

My alakazam has confusion + shadow ball. I dont think that is better than tyranitar and / or Dragonite.

I would only use the Dragonite as an attacker. Snorlax isn't great offensively, he is just real tanky, so he is able to win a lot of battles. With BS being a 3 bar move now, he is a really annoying defender, so I would use him for that.

All of them are good overall attackers, Tyranitar have more counters but is still a beast.

I also have a Tyranitar with that moveset. I think crunch have a bit longer cd than dragon claw so it's a bit harder for me to dodge if it have the same cd as dragon claw, crunch will be the best offensive move for sure and dark type is also as good as dragon type. I can't tell about other moveset since I have only one mon.
