Are you raiding less?

It's been 3 days since my last raid. The lack of raid scanning has hindered my ability to raid more than I thought it would. To clarify, I'm rural with no Gyms visible from my house and only 2 in my town. I can't hold those 2 gyms long enough to keep track of them in-game.

How are you guys getting along without 3rd party assistance?

In our suburban/rural area, we should have enough people with eyes on gyms to use Messenger to raid. But it's been slow for me too, partly because I'm more busy right now. We'll see over the long term.

Only because of the low temperatures.

My gosh, how do you manage without seeing any gyms visible from your house? That really sucks...

Killing the WAFU/Bus raiding for city players is a trivial issue compared to what rural players are facing

Well we just recently got a 2nd gym so I had been using a scanner to figure out when/if to drive to them. I know 2 gyms sounds inadequate (it is), but I was still able to find at least one good T3 or T4 per day with a scanner....two if I was lucky.

There's a bigger town about 30 minutes away that has 10 gyms but the gas and wear on my vehicle just isnt worth it

I live in a city and am in a few raid groups, not much problem for me personally. Still doing a 1-3 Lugias per day as well as some tier 3s depending on if I see any that interest me.
The hardcore raiders are raiding much less since they were completely reliant on scanners to plan their routes in advance and squeeze in as many raids to a time period as possible.

Without a raid map, I'm back to solos

Activity has been exactly the same. No difference whatsoever. Our community is very helpful

In our town, raids (either Machamp/T4/T5 and any raid on EX gyms) are called by people in our whatsapp group. It's annoying that the scanners are down, but it doesn't hinder my chances on doing a raid I want to do.

I have done fewer raids but only because I don’t care about Lugia.

First time I actually tried to solo a Piloswine (successfully, of course).

I don't think I raid much less now compared to when scanners worked.
I'm in a few Messenger groups and we all help out keeping an eye on upcoming raids. I've never used scanners to find raids, but I know some in the group did, so I suppose we've missed out on a few since scanners died. But seeing as I don't do every raid anyway, that hasn't affected me that much.

I did 6-7 Lugia raids during the Community Day. The same a few days earlier (not sure if it was before the scanners died). I did 3-4 on saturday.
But none today (monday).

Haven't been able to do a single raid so far, because I was without wifi when Lugia came and when I returned maps were down. So I probably won't be getting one for a while

Last Saturday from 11 AM to 7 PM we did 21 Suburban Raids due to Discord Info.

Previous Group raid days with Scanners was about 26-27.

Might not seem like a lot, but that 1 day alone cost PMG 50 bucks easy from our raid group.

20% Less Raids even with an active suburban discord is still a lot of money.

No raids today. Sunday I did a Machamp at 630am, nothing else—I have 28 premium passes I’m willing to use. Saturday did 2 Lugias that were at the same EX park. Friday evening did a boosted Fire Blast Tyranitar, Saturday morning did a boosted Stone Edge Tyranitar, close to the point that it is a necessity that I have a 39.8 and two 34s, so I can do tier 4s. I did get my 10th EX invite for my almost 40 on March 30, that keeps “this week in raiding” afloat. Hope to hop around to another Lugia or two with those guys since it is a holiday

I don't know whether to chalk up the downturn in raiding to the maps going down or the fact that the Legendary is a retread, and poor one at that.

I live in a suburban area, but the city is not too far away. I've noticed, the ABILITY to raid really depends on the quality of the community. My neighborhood and the raid group near the mall are still very active compared to the downtown area despite having lower opportunity to raid.

Well prior to a month ago I had to do most my raids solo and mostly without any scanners before I discovered gymhuntr. Just a few weeks ago was the first time I did that WAFU raid thing where I did 8 legendary raids within about 3 hours, before that I only did one legendary raid and it was RayQ. I also haven’t had my car hardly at all and I’ve been visiting family and been out of town but starting in a couple of weeks I could probably start getting some more solos at least. To answer the question, yes and no
