Are you also sick of all these "fake" players ???
Met by coincidence a gym leader yesterday... owning the perfect dragonite 3500XP... he shows proudly all his level 40 pokes... impossible of course without cheating.
Shame on him and all the other "fake" players. Sitting in their sofa waiting computers doing the job or lying in their bed catching pokes at the other side of the planet.
Long life to the "real" players, walking the distance, catching their daily pokes, fighting and training in gyms, ... to reach a decent level 25 and higher.
"Fake" players using bots or all other cheating techniques must be better traced and banned forever by niantic. What will be the purpose of this (wonderful) game if there will be 1 million "fake" players in the world, all at level 40 each with a dozen 100%IV dragons with 3500XP and the best moves ???
Is it so complex to adapt the software to control the validity of players reaching levels 35 up ? Is it so complex to define the profile of the best "real" players and use these data to ban players exceeding abnormally these values ?
Or maybe is cheating the essence of this game ? In such a case, sad to say, I will stop spending my time to catch my daily pokes...

I'm a level 35 going on 36 soon who has put in a ton of time and frankly money into this game (incubators). I live and work in a very active area in So Cal so I can multi-task 95% of my play.
I get it the initial post/frustration, just like I honestly cannot fathom how anyone could be a higher level than me but I'm still not going to assume everyone who is a higher level is cheating.
Hey what's good my dude?
TBH 90% of my play at this point is hatching. The good thing about that is that I'm constantly replenishing stardust, but even then I'm constantly low. I easily hatch 18-27 eggs a day between my job and coaching soccer/waking my two English Labs.
But it is so hard keeping so many mons leveled up that frankly I'm dreading moving up to 36. I have 19 level 36.5 mons and a number of 30s but I just can't see how it's possible to continue to power them all up. I have 6 legit attackers I posted in another thread that I'm going to focus on.
Fingers crossed there is a stardust event. Would probably inspire me to catch more again.
Eh yeah, crazy busy time of the year in my business. But yeah, still playinf away. At times I get burnt but then something happens that pulls me back in.
Still waiting for this damn game to add social elements to it. A friends list and chat would be nice at least. Definitely not going anywhere (from this site) until I add you.
That's funny though, your "have to" feeling is exactly what I get too. Keep doing work my dude!

No , absolutely not !!! I am level 31 (soon 32) and I will reach 35 and maybe more after catching >10.000 pokes and fighting > 1000 gym battles... But in the best case I will never have >10 dragonites, >3300IV all with the best moves. Hopefully 1 or 2...
My point is that all these "fake" players have reached that level without any effort. They even don't understand the essence of the game, all these refinements hidden behind the moves and the different pokes styles. They are simply sending their army >3300IV dragons in the attack and the defense, without any understanding of the game.
My question was "why does Niantic not develop tools and controls to detect these players and if confirmed ban these players from the game" ???
Don't let this disencourige you. I think all the trainers who invest much of their time to get an appropriate level are longing for the day niantic get rid of these cheaters.
Sure if a player have caught mons around the world within minutes or hours, he is definedly cheating. Actually it's very hard to find out who is cheating and who is not. If the bot behavior is imitating a usual players gameplay, how can you dicide wether he cheats or not?
The cp 3500 dragonite is actually impossible even with gps spoofing. According to this site, "The maximum pokemon level is currently 39. This is probably a bug, so it is likely that 40 will be the maximum level in the long run." therefore, a dragonite cannot reach its max level without cheating, a perfect 3500cp dragonite should only be theoretical. It simply Should not be seen. Therefore, though scrutinizing every account above level 35 seems like it would help, that is clearly a separate issue altogether.
And to be fair, I think most people above level 35 probably got there fairly. I only had a short phase where I was playing the game rigourisly every day, and I'm at level 32, no cheating, and very small amounts of money spent in game. It only requires time and location.
But I agree, there should be some measures (what I don't know) to eliminate more cheaters, because there are far too many
I don't think cheaters are still around due to Niantic's technical limitation, its rather a conscious decision. The reality is that most cheaters still continues to inject money in their game, which makes them even more valuable to Niantic than average hard workers, walking machines, $-tighted, low leveled players (like me)... And unlike most of us who see the game as pure entertainment and fun, its their business, how the are making a living (big time!).
Niantic's recent change on Gym's battling code indicates only two things: 1- They want diligent players to spend MORE money on coins (instead of earning while defending Gyms); 2- To keep honest players active by enabling them to defeat more powerful Gyms.
No company would give up that kind of gold, specially at a very competitive and volatile game industry. While you and me are considering why they haven't done anything or when they will do, they should be far over it.
I am lvl 28 now and can still get a few beasty asses kicked... So for now I'm gonna keep my comparably lower gaming activity...and secretly enjoy my honest mediocrity at PoGo LOL
