Are ya'll SURE Alakazam can actually learn Future Sight?!
A bit of a rant, get ready.
As a member of team Instinct, I'm playing Pokemon Go on hard mode. At raid battles, my team is almost certainly in the minority. As such I get less rewards and balls after defeating the boss. After a ridiculously long TM drought, a resurface of the special item has started blessing me as of late. WOO-HOO! If only I didn't have to constantly waste them...
I've wasted 6 friggin' Charged TMs trying desperately to get Future Sight! It's honestly super heartbreaking seeing it jump back and forth between Shadow Ball and Focus Blast. Not only that, my raid partner has been trying to get Future Sight as well. He's wasted 3 TMs, so in total that's more like 9 TMs trying to get the one move!
They should really make it so you get to choose which move you wish your Pokemon to have. Either that or bump up the TM drop rate.

Just did another Entei raid today, was presented with yet another Charged TM. Guess what happened when I used it on Alakazam... Go ahead guess!

They way they currently have it really sucks. Yesterday I wanted to TM my Mewtwo from Hyper Beam to Shadow Ball and it went like this. Psychic, Hyperbeam, Psychic, Hyperbeam, Psychic, Hyperbeam, Psychic, Hyperbeam, Psychic, Hyperbeam, Psychic, Hyperbeam, Focus Blast. and stopped there... couldn't believe it You need like 50 Charged tms to get what you want...
That's even worse than my sorrowful Dynamic Punch tale! My sincere condolences...
And that's probably why I will end up powering up my 80% M2 with PC/SB: even if I get a better one down the road, I'm not going to want to spend the TMs required to get the move set I want. They've just become too rare to waste on anything except a GUARANTEED upgrade.
I did this with a Dnite, trying to get DT/O. Took five TM's to finally get O. I have a level 34.5 96% Machamp that was saddled with Bullet Punch/Submission and decided to use TM's to try for Counter/Dynamic Punch. After the first try, I got Counter/Close Combat. Went from one of the worst possible movesets to the second best (according to Gamepress). As I don't currently have a huge stash of TM's, I figured that was close enough and quit.
