Are weather-boosted raid bosses harder to catch?

The conventional wisdom seems to be 'yes, of course, they are higher level', but do we actually know this? Weather boost is also not part of the GP calculations for catch stats.

Grand Unified Catch theory applies perfectly to weather boosts.

So yes they are, but not by much. If you get 10 balls at Lugia, but do NOTHING for a bonus, you have a 12% chance if its L20, and 10% if its boosted to level 25... add boosts and its all but irrelevant.

It's a strong assumption. Regular raid bosses function like level 20 wild mons in every way except you're limited to premium balls. The only difference with weatherboosted mons in the wild is the higher level, with no proof that weatherboost altered catch chance in any other way. There isn't really any reason to assume combining these two would produce something that doesn't follow the GUCT.

For me, the opposite has been true. For example, I did 19 Groudon raids, caught 11; of those, 9 were weather-boosted (yeah!) Most - if not all - of those that ran were level 20.

Small sample size, I know, but I've had similar experiences with other legendaries.

Same for me, but I attribute this to the fact that I knew the weather boosted ones were slightly harder to catch, and perhaps I concentrated more to ensure excellent throws.
