Are raids going to ruin the game?

so spent the morning yesterday raiding with a small group. 6 level 4 raids.

Caught 3 snorlax (89,91,93%) (also blastoise, charizard and blastoise all caught) and felt a little disappointed because none were tyranitar.

so 3 snorlax in a day and felt dissapointed, how long does the game have left?

Well, now you don't need to worry about getting a good Snorlax and work for the other tiers. :D

Everybody should get a free Snorlax on the first login of the day

Raiding will and has ruined this game. They need to rename this game to Pokemon GO To The Raids. It's absolute BS how low level players are running around with Tyranitars and Snorlaxs'.

I was GRINDING soooo hard to get my 3 Dragonites, Snorlax, and Blissey to where they are now. It took me 6 months to get my very first Dragonite! I was stoked! Then all of a sudden Dratini started hatching like crazy and I got very lucky. Plus, I know a place in the park that I would visit EVERY FREAKIN' DAY after work to try to catch one Dratini.

I love how my Blissey is getting demolished so quickly from gyms. Gee, I wonder why that is. WANT A 100% IV DOUBLE FIGHTING MOVE MACHAMP?! OK, WELL GO TO THE MACHAMP RAID AND YOU'LL GET ONE! (Veteran players know how hard it was to get 125 Machop candy and then try to get DOUBLE fighting moves? Forget about it!! It was so damn hard!) Now the game is a ****ing joke!!!!

Another joke? The current gym system!

The TM's I don't mind because unlike Tyranitars, they are hard to get.

All my free coins are going to go towards the raid passes. Everything else is a waste.

I'm not sure it will ruin the game, but it does make things slightly less interesting. In the past seeing a wild Snorlax would make people get out in any weather and run like crazy to get it, no matter how bad it was. Now we can just ignore it because we can get one at a raid tomorrow instead.

And in the past people walked and walked to get those hard earned candies so as to get that Dragonite or Tyranitar. Now a player who started yesterday can, technicaly, get a Tyranitar without leaving the house.

Sure, you won't catch one every day (probably), so you might still have to walk to make it stronger, but still. You still have it.

And if they will change the Raid bosses on a regular basis, then it wont be too hard getting all those rare Pokemons that people in the past worked really hard to get, either by hatching 10km eggs (of which some rarely got from stops) or walking mile after mile to get candies to evolve.

I am not saying I hate raids or that they are all bad though. I do like the fact that we have to work together to defeat the stronger ones (should make low lever raids harder even), but I'm not so sure about the rewards. Maybe hand out other things instead.
Perhaps some nice rewards as well as candies (more than three) for the Pokemon you just beat.

that's what i mean, catching or hatching a snorlax was the kind of thing that made your day (only got like 4 before den 2 dropped). I got 3 in a day yesterday and it was fun organizing a group and doing the raid (one of the other raiders missed a 100% lax) but the actually mons feel cheep.

did a tyrantar raid this morning (before work) 12 people showed up I suggested we split into 2 groups to get the most balls possible for everyone and they declined. Then some boasted about how we smashed it and it was like ???.. and what was the achievement again?

@The Idle Fellow, agree 100%. Funny you bring up Snorlax in that first paragrah....On a very cold January night, the first two pictures happened. I saw that Snorlax on the Pokemon Go radar, my heart was pumping, adrenaline high. I ran into the very dark park that's next to my house. Months later after making that Snorlax my buddy and walking with it +400 KM, the third pic happened. I will NEVER forget that night. And I will NEVER have a night like that ever again, thanks to the raids.

I've caught about 8 real Snorlaxes and one raided one. Just like the raid, most involved a car...looking at pokestop radar while at a stop light or driving to a cluster of pokestops and being surprised by one. However, in March about 11pm I saw one at a pokestop deep in a dark park. Got my headlamp and ran on the dirt trails there...was a 2150 EQ. I was always looking for a big one b/c I barely walked Snorlax--stayed with Chansey instead. I hatched one in August...950 eggs later never hatched another one!

Meanwhile I'm hoping a bro squad shows up to help me with a Lapras. I missed the reveal, so maybe I missed a first wave. I often see the squads for TT and Snorlax. Lucky this is my gold gym, so waiting means filling the cupboard

Yes it has ruined it ... to get any good poke you should have to put a lot of work in with a sprinkle of luck..... not go to a Raid.
If raids were rare then maybe but damn ... way too many and way too often ....

Well, some of us don't have enough players around for any tier 4 raids, so it is not raining snorlax and tyranitar here :(

I really hope that not all pokes will become raid bosses, especially not d'nite.

Your situation is not shared everywhere. I found a team to raid with and am having more fun than I ever have in PoGo. With legendaries coming up and gen 3 I don't see myself slowing down anytime soon.

If they didn't release this whole update I likely would have stopped playing. I was getting bored of walking my larvitar 20 km to power up my Trex once, hatching 6 gligars out of 10k eggs, and fighting 10x Blissey gyms.
