Arcanine bite/fireblast
I've been tryi to get an Arcanine with fire fang/fire blast, but recently evolved one with bite and fire blast with excellent iv's. if all I'm using it for is lapras killing, does anybody think firefang will make a big difference instead?

I like Fire Fang more, I'm used to it more as I got it before I got Bite, but Arcanine with Bite does only marginally less damage.
People say that you can charge up your bar faster with Bite, but against a strong opponent like Lapras you often want to make sure anyway that you dodge its charge moves and end up using Fire Blast after they've used their charge move, so in that sense you might be wasting more energy.
That being said, I'm sure Bite does well too, and I understand if people feel more comfortable dodging with it. Getting Fire Fang / Fire Blast is 1/6 chance so you are probably best off sticking to your current one unless you have very easy access to Growlithe candy.
Bite is more fun to use, but Fire Fang is definitely better.
Zureiyaa is right on the EPS thing, if you have a one bar charge move you always want to throw it just after the opponent throws its charge move, so at the end you are wasting energy.
Anyway, keep that moveset as it's awesome. In fact, any Arcanine moveset that doesn't get Bulldoze is really good. I find Flamethrower much more useful and versatile than Fire Blast, but that's a matter of tastes.
Bite has notably higher overall dps on attack than Fire Fang because of its energy generation (14 vs 9.5 = ~50% more). It keeps Fire Blast up more often which greatly overpowers the small quick attack dps difference.
Dark, as much as Fire, is also neutral to Lapras and super effective on Exeggutor. Unrelatedly, Bite is also more comfortable to use and dodge defender moves with since it's faster.
