Arcanine 96% Bite/Fire Blast ?

Hey guys,

I hatched a 96% Growlithe which I evolved into an Arcanine with Bite/Fire Blast.
Finally after like 5 evolutions of good IVs Growlithes I got one with Fire Blast.

Thing is, I already have a maxed out (almost 2500cp) 91% Arcanine with FireFang/Flamethrower which I normally use for attackin, even tho I never really felt comfortable using FireFang while dodging.

Do you guys thing is worth to spend like 60k dust to power up my new Arcanine ? Will he give me a boost on attacking compared to my other one?

Any comment from guys who really used this moveset would be fantastic.

Thanks.

I actually prefer bite to firefang for quick attack. I have an arcanine with Bite and Fireblast and it is awesome. Bite produces energy so fast and I can get more FB off than I would have with fire fang.

Yes, it is absolutely worth it, if you dont care about the defensive value, but only wanna use it for offense. Dodging is so much easier with Bite and in combination with Fireblast, Fire fang and Bite are mathematically about even, with a minimalisitic advantage for Bite. Mine has your moveset too and I absolutely love it. Especially against Lapras, where you can get off 2 Firefangs between two Ice Shards, but 5 Bites, it is a lot more useful, when dodging quicks. It lacks the effectiveness against 3/4 plants, but is still going to be able to handle them EASILY.

If you have ever attacked with a Gyarados, Bite is that same move. It is great for spam-attacking and builds energy quickly. If you don't like the slowness of Fire Fang for timing your dodges, you'll love Bite.

If it were mine, I'd power it up. Been looking for an Arcanine with this moveset but lately I've been getting Bulldoze :-(

Also a fan of bite as well...I'd power it up if I ever the same moveset as you on a high IV Growlithe...

Been getting Bulldoze everytime the IVs are over 90 for me.

I wholeheartedly agree with the previous answers, AND... because Bite is a Dark type attack it still does super-effective damage against Exeggutor :)
