Just wondering, i have looked up Arcanine and Saw That Fire Fang/ Wild Charge is actually one of his best movesets.... anyone know why? is wild charge that strong that without STAB it is still that strong to be one of the best attacks for him? I am sure not many people choose Arcanine to try and take down Gyrados or Vaporeon.

Based on hi Att Stats, wild charge still hits hard, but I think it is a part of his better defensive movesets, or of you want to attack/prestige another Fire Pokemon as he resists fire type moves. Or against neutral typing on both ends.
Either way, he/she isn't useless.

Arcanine has a good attack stat, so that helps with the damage. WC does a very respectable 90 damage per bar, for a total of 180, which is very good even without STAB. Not so much any more, but when Lapras was in gyms wc would be ideal. Arcainine is also a good attacker into Snorlax, and wc does neutral damage against him. Exeggutor would be the only bad typical Arcanine matchup.

Gary's only water attack is hydro pump which will ohko most mons regardless of type so i sometimes use wild charge Arcanine to attack or prestige Gary. Vape, not so much

Arcanine's current moves seem to be tailored for defense, and WC is to surprise water attackers. Which, by the way, don't hurt the dog as much as they do the rock/ground types.

I've used my WC arcanines against Gyarados and they really aren't that great, as compared to any decent electric type. IMO, a WC arcanine has no relevancy in the current meta.

I got a Snarl(Dark)/Wild Charge(Electric) for my Arcanine. 98%IVs. Was super annoyed :(

Edit: At least it's an A in Defense... still sad
