So you have an Arcanine with max IV and Best moveset. I don't see why this is a question.

It isn't a question. It's just a douchebag bragging a so-called "100% Arcanine"

Reading is hard guys. His Arcanine has Bite, not the coveted Fire Fang.

This is difficult because you have the only Pokemon in the game that can actually get Fire Fang, yet you got Bite instead. Bite isn't bad, but it definitely won't do near the DPS of Fire Fang, especially when fighting Grass/Ice types.

However, Bite does have a much faster attack speed, making it easier for you to dodge. And it actually has an INSANE rate at charging your super bar. And since Fire Blast is so insanely powerful, you might actually end up doing MORE damage throughout a fight with this move set against certain Pokemon.

And seeing as how insanely rare it is to get ANY Pokemon with 100% IVs, and considering this is one of the highest CP potential Pokemon in the game, I would say it is definitely worth powering this guy up and maxing him out.

Besides... you could have ended up like me and got two Arcanines with Bulldoze, which is a completely garbage move. Even if you don't have the #1 best attacking moveset, it's definitely the #2. So you're still quite fortunate.

You explained why people aren't taking this question seriously. People that have actually played, and not just looked at the numbers, know that bite is far better for attacking. The entire point of the quick move is to charge up fire blast, and few skills are better than bite. The EPS and DPS for bite are both 14. The EPS and DPS for FF are 9.52 and 17.86, respectively. So not only is FF slower, the EPS is a lot worse.

If we were talking defense, that is a different story. Then FF would be the preferred move. That being said, fire blast is HORRIBLE on defense. I thought it would be fun to stick my fire blast Arcanine in a gym with another 2500 cp Arcanine, then decided to train it up with my Vaporeon. It was much easier than I intended...my 2200 cp Vaporeon with aqua tail defeated both of them because I was able to KO them before they could even get fire blast off...

Well FF is not that much of and advantage compared to Bite even in defense. People will attack Arcanine with water Pokemon most of the time, so FF will only deal 80% dmg with results in 14.22 effective DPS.

You should. Great for taking out the weaker CP with Bite that might have resistance, than Wiping out the next with Fire Blast.

Yes. I have a 91 IV Arcanine with bite and fire blast and I've powered him up a bunch and absolutely love him. Gyms around me are loaded with high level exeggutors which are weak to both fire and dark so that's the primary pokemon I use him for. So even though arcanine doesn't get STAB for bite he still gets a type advantage when attacking one of the best and most common gym defenders.
