Anyone seen odd cluster spawns lately?

Since monday, without playing much, I've seen two very unusual spawn events.
On monday, at lunch, I encountered 7 pinsirs (about my total in the preceeding year!) in rapid succession, within an area just slightly larger than the catch radius circle. Those are not native to this biome, and while there has always been a single spawn point that changed with migrations, I don't think Pinsir was the mon for the nest this cycle. There were no pinsirs in the morning, on my way back from lunch, or on my way out in the evening, just on my way to lunch.
Then later, I chanced upon a group of 7 water pokemon (3 poliwag, 3 staryu, 1 mantine) all within sight of eachother. Several passes by that spot since have not had any excess of spawns.

Have other people noticed more/anomalous cluster spawns since the monday spawn location update?
