anyone having issues with dust

After the last double dust event I hit my goal of 5 mil and then powered up a bunch of guys , now back near 5.5 but with the new level cap at 35 I have no clue what to use the dust on in future other than legends...need more.legend raids I guess

I wouldn’t say I’m having issues but I defenitely think dust has lost value considering only a handful of pokemon seem worth powering up and most are legendaries and nonlegendaries can be caught at 35.

I would gladly trade some dust for rare candy to power up more legendaries.

Metagross is a good bet for the future as it puts Steel in the game better than Scizor does. Gardevoir is a solid bet right now because, although it's not the best option, it has a niche that others don't really fill - Fairy-type attacker and double-resistance defender/attacker to Dragon/Fighting and single resistance to Psychic, arguably the three types that define the current offense meta.

I would save a lot for Kyogre too, it looks like it's going to be an absolute monster even if it is nerfed by 9%.

I was just browsing and glancing at Kyogre Pokebattler...it is going to be a slaughter. Save your revives and potions. We haven't seen a legendary this tough to defeat, varied moves to help its defense and weather is barely a factor in it

Max out fun stuff... Dust is easy to spend

I totally agree. Max out the things that you use for raids. Why spend dust on something you'll never use in a raid? I know some of you have to fight for gyms, but in our town, it's a waste to spend dust on anything defensive. It's surprising how often the extra hit points come in handy trying to shoot off your charge move before you croak.

If you have that much dust, then your squad IS really weak overall. Can’t have both (NUMEROUS maxed out Pokémon AND millions of stardust). Numbers just will never add up.

He prob have lots of lv 30s.
I prefer having them 40 if i use them.

Not necessarily, I have 2.5 mil and my squad is better than anyone in my area. It’s because I’ve caught way more than them , almost to 70k.

No my team is more than suffice . I only ever powered a hand full of guys over 35 as is sense breakpoints Nd such so at this point dust is becoming very redundant because all guys that would only see the dust for level 35 now need no dust just patience , and by the time I have another high iv legends I've farmed more dust than nec. In between

Dragonite, Machamp and Tyranitar are very sound non-legendary investments, along with Alakazam/Espeon (unless you have multiple Mewtwos), Blissey/Chansey (if gym defence matters in your area), Exeggutor, Gardevoir and Gyarados.

Good advice with a few exceptions:

Machamp: can easily find machops now that are weather boosted and make 2550+ champs with no dust investment

Gyarados: he's done. His time as water boss will be VERY short lived with Kyogre on the near horizon.

Espeon: weather boosted Evees, walk 10km, no dust needed.
