Anyone has any pattern of getting 10K eggs? I do have one and it have happened three times.
My pattern is this: Buy 5 incubators and use all five of them twice to clear up the eggs stacks. There will be only one time usage left for each. Save those one time incubator for 10K eggs. Then, five 10K eggs will appear magically so you can use those five incubators to hatch them.
The latest time that I am using this way, I got four eggs quite early and I thought this pattern might break. But finally today during my class, I got the fifth 10k eggs via Go plus.
BTW, I hatched the 10K egg today and it has regular number of candies. So I guess the event eggs are quite punctual and those special eggs only drop after event starts, not even one or two hour early.

On April 1st, I started banking my 10k eggs for the first time. Usually I run 3-4 incubators, hatching 10k as soon as I collect them, and trying to hatch all 2k and most 5k with the yellow incubator. But this time, I saved 10k eggs, and cleared all the other eggs each time before spinning a stop, which means I had to work hard to clear my other eggs daily. Then I would only go to the 3-4 stops that had dropped a 10k since the last migration. If I didn't get an egg on the first spin, I would wait 5 minutes and go back to the same stop. My theory was the more 10k eggs I had stored, the higher likelihood of getting a 10k egg (sort of like the suspected algorithm that gives you more of the same items you already have). Anyway, I collected a full stash of 10k eggs by April 12th, when I ordinarily only got 1-2 10k eggs per week even though I was collecting and hatching more eggs before. BTW, the pokestops that drop 10k eggs most frequently seem to shift with each nest migration, usually to the stop before or after the current ones in a cluster or row. May all be RNG, but just my anecdotal observations.
