Anyone else think that Ninantic "Overreduced" Revives?

I can't believe I am saying this but I am back to hoarding revives.

This impacts what I put into gyms and what I hit gyms with in a negative way.

No. But for my game, they aren't critical.

When I put a mon in a gym, I don't use trash mon - I use evolved trash mon. Raticate, Xatu, Fearow, Ariados, Ledian, Azumarill, Furret, and so forth. Then, when they come back to me, they go straight to the professor. So I don't need to revive 3-6 gym holders every day. Still throwing revives away, just not as quickly as before.

Now, if Niantic would allow us to do something with the few hundred max potions cluttering my bag. I'd happily sell them back at 1/4 value (which would be 50 coins for 10 potions returned).

Each Max potion you don't use is worth 4 coins. Just trash 50 and you got a bag upgrade that cost 200 coins. I reduced my Max potion and revive stock to 75 each. Anyway I barely use them.

Yes, but my point is I don't want to go back to having to use Evolved Trash mon.

I have lots of defenders like Blissey, Snorlax, Clefary, Steelix, I want to use.

It's already bad enough that "Evolved Trash" was tempting before the change. Now it's almost a necessity.

Makes having good defenders go from worthless to beyond worthless

No, and now they can reduce potions from raids too cause id like something besides potions and revives from every damn raid.

I'm drowning in max revives at the moment.

Same here; I only use them in Legendary/Level 4 Raid battles when all my mon's faint and I want to re-use them, so I have about 150 and the number is stable.

I got as high as 440 max revives before I decided it was a rediculous amount. I decided to rebalance my bag by deleting all regular revives as soon as I get them and start using only max revives on fainted mons. (That also allowed me to toss a lot of potions.) Now it’s down to 300 and I’ll let it stabilize at 200 depending on how scarce revives end up being as a result of the latest adjustment Niantic made.

So I guess my answer to the question is no I hadn’t noticed.

Ultimately it depends on what you want to do.
If your a raider than revives slightly more important but I wouldn't go so far as to hoard revives dont forget with RNG your bound to get some after you win raids anyway.

I usually put chanseys and other reusable defenders and still discard revives. Only potions forces me to put disposable defenders in gyms

Yesterday, I took 7 cracks at trying to solo Alakazam. This morning was another multi-attempt solo followed by a Legendary raid double. My once bountiful bag of revives and potions is looking pretty bleak right now which means it’ll be a while before I get to try Alakazam again.
