Any weird evolution movesets during the last Community Day?

Last community day I took advantage of the double XP to evolve a lot of Mons. For some reason, I got 3 "Surf" Rhydons while evolving them. Not sure why Rhydons are anything like a Pikachu / Raichu so I suppose this was just a glitch. Anyone else got Surf charge moves for Mons which aren't supposed to have them? Not sure what I am going to do with a Ground / Water Rhydon so I may have to waste some TMs on them. Thanks Niantic!!! Wonder what glitches we will see in February.

Rhydon can learn surf since early december, so it's not a glitch but maybe the chance of surf got increased or you where unlucky

People were asking to replace Megahorn with Rhydon's signature Drill Run, so Niantic got rid of Megahorn and gave Rhydon ... Surf?

Rhydon has been able to learn Surf from the beginning in Red/Blue, but in Go it doesn't provide very useful type coverage.

When your area spawns 2900+CP Rhydons almost every day and you have an army of them, they're pretty useful when knocking down other Rhydons or Golems in gyms when you're too lazy to change the auto-selected team.

A lot of pokemon can learn surf.

Am I the only ones who thinks it would be hilarious if every community day was just a different mon getting surf?

As stated, Rhydon is supposed to get Surf, it's not a glitch. It's by far its best defensive charge move against attacking Machamps so there's that if you like to use them for defending.
