ANY WAY TO GUARANTEE VAPOREON?

Hey guys, I have evolved 10-15 Eevee since I last got a Vaporeon.
60% have been Jolteon and 40% have been Flareon.

My highest Vaporeon is 1830 CP from when I was around level 20. Now that I am level 28, I would love to get another Vaporeon close to 2500 CP.

I have been saving a decent level 26 (80% IV) Eevee desperately hoping for a Vaporeon.

I have already used the name trick (Rainer) but I read somewhere that the Eevee charge move affects the evolution:

Dig=Flareon, Body Slam=Jolteon and Swift=Vaporeon.

This Eevee has swift so that gives me some hope :)

What have your experiences been like with the Eeveelutions?

Unless the different language trick actually works all you can do is cross your fingers. The "move" theory is bullshit btw.

I haven't tested, but the additional names that others claimed might work for Vaporeon were:

Rainer
Mizuki
Showers
Aquana
Aquali
Shamid

wow that's interesting man...never heard of that before but I might try it once I have stacked up some Eevee candies

No correlation between eevee moves and eeveeloution mon. Don't get your hopes up.
I've been getting mostly Flareon and Jolteon too.

You can guarantee just once. After that, capture one.

Is it possible niantic reduces the chance of getting vapes to less than 1/3? My last 4-5 eeveelutions are also flareon or jolteon

I wonder man... I sometimes have the same feeling too. It's a real shame because I've had so many good Eevee evolve into crap Jolteon.

I get mostly Vaporeons. I really want a new Flareon, only have a pre-gen2 Flareon with Ember/Flamethrower

I have like 12 Vaporeons 3 Jolteons and 2 Flareons. What I need is a new Flareon for fire spin/overheat, I have the old moveset kind.

Evolve crap Eevees....
I evolved 11 Eevees with crap IV's just for the XP, and got 7 Vapes. Gave them all to the Professor.
But TBH, I still don't have a Vape with IV's above 86.8.... I can't find high level Eevees with good IV's anywhere. (I stopped catching Eevees less than 600CP months ago.)

I catch pretty much every Eevee. If they are mid-high to high CP, they may have decent IV's too and be worth evolving. If they are lower CP, their escape rate and flee rate seems very low. Another reason is to see how much Eevee candy I can accumulate - currently at 1975 and counting.

me too currently sitting on 2900 candy, evolving eevees was how i completed my electric and fire medals.

And I evolve anything with a CP above 700 regardless of iv (and they usually go vape) as semi disposable defenders (they sit there until I have so many potions I would throw them out anyway which happens maybe once every 6 weeks when I make a trip to Brisbane)

I have noticed that they evolve in runs sometimes 5/6 will be jolts. other times flareon. other times vape. If i wanted another vape i would probably evolve a couple of trash eevees as testers first, it doesn't guarantee it but might improve your luck.

I think the foreign name trick was also debunked but it costs you nothing so i would do it to.

The "move" theory is not true. I try this to get a Jolteon but it did not work.
I hope trading comming soon. I really want Jolteon with Thundershock/Thunderbolt, but i got mostly Vaporeons, 3 with HP, 2 with AT, 2 with WP, all of them have above 80%IV

I have 10 vapes in my inventory 9 from using Rainer. None of my other pokemon are named rainer etc. I just name an eevee and leave it for like half a day or something then evolve

In December I got nothing but jolteon snd flareon.... But all of a sudden, I got several vapereons, and currently they seem pretty much 1/3 each (Caught 2 wild vapes, including a lvl 23 today.)

It's just RNG, your time will come!
