Any news on a Valentines Event like last year?
Either pro/con news or is just crickets?

As a European I always found the American valentine's day concept pretty weird. We don't really assign that kind of a significance to it in my country.
The actual question is pretty hard, POGOs playerbase is pretty different from many other games. Most of the people I see at raids are married working adults with kids.
It may not be very European but women still attack great value to it. My country doesnt assign too much value to it as well, but that doesn't prevent me from "celebrating". But I agree very much that most of the players are probably married already indeed.
But oh-well this is not a love board :D was just curious in what people would respond.
I think the event started on the 8th last year and I really hope it will be the same date this year as well. I'm sitting on nine 10km eggs that I really want to hatch. Would be great to get double stardust this year, but seeing as we will get that for catches on the Community Day I doubt we will see it now as well. Probably double candies and buddy distance halved.
Much like Halloween in the US, Valentine's day is very strongly associated with candy, so I expect a double candy event. I'm already deciding which of my weaker Legendaries to dump for double candy.
Also, given how they are rolling out gen 3 in stages, not all at once, I'd guess they might roll out a few new mon. I doubt it would be something powerful, but a few new pink mon, or something related to love makes sense.
Finally, I think it's no coincidence that Kyogre's visit ends on 2/14, Valentine's day. We might see a special legendary event that goes on for a few days or a week, instead of the more predictable jumping straight to Rayquaza for legendary raids. If I had to guess, I'd speculate that Latios and Latias might come out for a week, or even until the community event on 2/20, but I'm probably wrong.
