Any interesting reason for power up?!
Apart from some common and obvious reasons for power up mons, any other interesting reasons to power up mons to certain level?
For instance, I'm going to power my kyogre of 14a to level 30 because it will have cp3456.
How about yours?

I plan to eventually max out every 100% mon I own but that's a long way off. Until then I'm sticking to the obvious reasons, pokemon that have use, are good investments species-wise and have great IVs (generally 93%+ with 15a). A 100% Eevee would be an exception, I would make it into a maxed Espeon in a heartbeat even though I don't need one.
Thanks to weather boosting you don't really NEED to power anything up anymore. You can get 6 of whatever you need at Lv 30+. Given the diminishing returns for powering up past thirty I don't see the point aside from Legendaries and 100% mons. So that's what I'm sticking too for the most part.
I might spend up to 30k dust to hit a breakpoint on something useful or currently necessary (that patience might not pay off) but not much more than that.
This.
Most non-psuedo Pokemon are specialists that are required in number to be useful (such as Alakazam, Exeggcutor) and are better caught weather-boosted than invested into. For that matter, IVs are only a huge concern of you're going to power up a mon, and it's silly to power up a team of 6 Pokemon that won't see much use outside of their specific good matchups.
Exceptions to this rule are Legendaries, Tyranitar, Dragonite, and Gyarados for their general rarity, high BST, and long-term usefulness. All of these are useful in a variety of situations as specialists and generalists, and most of these cannot easily be obtained in number anyways so are unlikely to be replaced. Most of them are also Pokemon you would not need an entire team of: Gyarados is somewhaat replaced by Kyogre but no one has a large number of high level Kyogre and Gyarados are difficult to evolve, Tyranitar is tanky enough to its counters to not need 6 of them to get by, Dragonite is primarily a generalist and should be paired with specialist counters, and legendaries are usually good enough to be used as generalists and, like I said, most don't have the resources to power up duplicates.
These Pokemon I would max - I'm always in favor of a few maxed Pokemon over a team of level 30s because the maxed Pokemon can be used outside of their niches, and saving maxing for the Pokemon listed above allows their uses to be more widespread.
