Another terrible analogy for the tracker debate

Imagine that you have just arrived in a new country to catch their regional species. You are driven to a huge park and left to fend for yourself, given the following information:

The spawns here are fantastic, with a biome completely different from yours, multiple nesting areas and even the occasional Lapras/Snorlax. The park is very near multiple military training areas. If you get too close to any, you will certainly get shot. There are six stops. Three are inside the military training areas (but you do not know which three). The other three stops are not very helpful for finding the best spawns. There is only one safe way out. From your current location, you would not be able to see it via the in-game map (or your eyes). If you can find it, you can take a bus to the airport. Your data plan works with the local ISP (edited because military areas would not have free Wi-Fi).

The locals know the park very well and use a tracker which marks out the military training areas. They can safely enjoy farming their desired species. However, you do not know the local languages at all, so you cannot ask them for help or read the signage there. The sky is not that bright.

How would you catch what you want (especially the regional species) and find the safe way out?

Whatever man. You're making this complicated by using those military areas. Plus, a military area with free WiFi? Who on earth would put a hotspot on a military base or at least near one? You're setting the scenario just for people to agree or at least side on you on this tracker issue.

EDIT:

Sky not that bright? Go during daytime.

Locals can't understand English? Draw your message. Plus this is really a pathetic reason or argument. Show your Pokédex. Point at the Pokémon you want to catch. I can go all day.

Locals know the map and enjoy hunting? Go hunt with them. Gain new friends. Understand their culture.

And also I don't think you can find neither stops or spawns inside military areas...maybe I am mistaken but those areas were not taken out from the game so no one entered them?

You are right that military areas would not have free Wi-Fi. I edited that part. (Intention was that Internet access would not be a problem for you despite being in a different country.)

Dude... You managed to travel for the sole purpose of hunting regionals. I think you can shoulder additional expenses for a new SIM. Shouldn't really be an issue.

You are correct on that point.

As for "making this complicated by using those military areas", I actually have farmed fantastic spawns at parks near military areas. Of course, I am a local who knows the parks well enough, uses a tracker and speaks the language.

This scenario may be somewhat exaggerated (our parks have multiple safe ways out), but it can nevertheless contribute to the tracker debate. Glad you came up with good answers!

I never really used a tracker but during the early days Pokémesh was still up and running, I did sure benefit from it. During those glorious days of Pokémon Go, plenty of people would swarm and lure my local park. Most of them had trackers so whenever they did scan a rare spawn e.g. Dratini (they're mythical where I live) I would run along with them. I guess the only bright side of using ONLY a tracker is you still need to be physically present for you to catch a Pokémon. Unlike sniping. However; in the eyes of Niantic and some die hard fan boys, it's wrong and it will always be. I do not detest people for admitting they are using one. Your account, your call. As long as you're not majestically appearing anywhere at any given time while you're on the comforts of your own bed or sofa, we're good.

What?

I would get myself shot on the military base intentionally, once I realised how stupid I was to pay to go somewhere that has regional exclusive, but could only locate a spot next to a military base and had no other form of transport or no better plan than to get dropped off in the middle of nowhere by some random who offers no more help than leave me stranded.
If that is the best I can manage, even though I am prepared to travel for the sole purpose of catching a regional then I am as much as a fool as that guy who wants to play poker with people that all need to hunt for their cards only to find everyone gets the same ones....or whatever that other analogy was.
