Another naming question
Probably this has come up before I haven't seen it since i started paying attention to the community at large (mostly here) about 8 weeks ago. When we rename Pokemon how do they show up in gyms for others, with the default name or new one? I've been solo after the first month. So i never could test it. I use symbols and they show for me with symbols. I'm guessing it's the default name but would like to know for sure

Default. There was a bug though that sometimes if the game was unable to read the name of the trainer for whatever reason in a gym it would display the name a trainer had given to their Pokémon. I don't remember exactly how it worked but it was possible to see something else than the default name explaining why some people claim to have seen something other than the default name. Generally however you will just see the default name.
