Ampharos still relevant?

Ampharos is to jolteon as Charizard is to flareon. Both 10x cooler looking than the eeveelution but they don't perform as well. However, Charizard is a better attacker in comparison. But, Ampharos is more rare, and a legit defender, if the meta was competitive.

Plants are the way and the light against Vape raid. I would be loathe to power up Ampharos until his movesets improve. Jolt's still the standard ATM.

I used my maxed Ampharos quite a bit in regular gym takeovers before the rework. He's not nearly as fast as Jolteon, but lasts quite a bit longer. I have barely used him in the raid meta - just too slow. At least for soloing. Would still use him in group attacks on Venusaur/Vaporeon, I guess.

He is relevant because looks cool, but no, Jolteon and even Magneton are superior

You could put him as gym defender so you look cooler
