Am I missing something?
I justed reached lvl 40 some days ago and wonder if there is anything missing on my team or something you would power up to strengthen my team.
Maxed: Groudon, Tyranitar, 2 Dragonite, 2 Golem, Exeggutor, 2 Machamp.
Lvl 35,5: Kyogre, Mewtu, 4 Tyranitar, Lugia, 3 Dragonite, Entei, Raikou, 2 Rhydon, Zapdos, Snorlax, 2 Gyarados, Moltres, 2 Blissey, Vaporeon, 2 Golem, 3 Machamp, 2 Gengar, Sceptile, Walrein, 3 Venasaur, Piloswine.
I have about 50 other mons above lvl 30 so there should be a good basis to further invest into some missing parts. I have about 250.000 dust to spend at the moment. The rest is planned to be invested into legendaries as soon as a double candy event will come around. Thanks for your advice!

I don´t have a good Articuno unfortunately and with Gen 4 Mamoswine will surpass him as the best Ice-type. I have 2 Gardevoir at lvl 31,5, both having 84% and 15 attack. IV-wise that´s not enough for me to justify further investment without it getting a fairy quick move or getting a high-level/high IV Ralts. I have a Scizor at lvl 31,5 too at 91% 15 attack. He´s one of those where I thought about pushing further but where are his uses? Against Mewtu he´s not better than my Gengars or Tyranitars. I put it in my team several times because I would really like to find a use for him, but in the end I replace him every time to assure maximum damage.
Gregoire listed 44 mons. Which would be a very impressive number of maxed mons, but achievable for anyone who plays a lot in a dense city. A pretty well known redditor recently shared their daily schedule on TSR and described how they can work full time and still average 500 catches per day without even spending all their spare time playing.
You would max those, right? Thanks for the reply!
I have one Rayquaza at lvl 31,5 98%, and will have another 80 candy after double candy. I have another Rayquaza at lvl 20 96% (both have 15a). I would really like to have a double flying Rayquaza...
Blissey 15/15/13, but I don´t have enough candy to push further and I am not willing to walk Blissey anymore with defense being a joke.
Tyranitar...candy is pretty low and they are not spawning in the wild here...also those Tyranitars sitting at lvl 35,5 are all 89-91% "only" and normally I only max mons at 96% minimum.
Mewtu: It´s my first and only one up to this date...12/14/13 87%. I have an invite for my second Mewtu on Sunday. My rare candy are at zero! If the second Mewto is better this will be a long road. 12 attack is not ideal even thuogh the 96% rule is not applying to Mewtu.
Kyogre: 91% 15/12/14...hoping for a chance to catch a better one one day to max it. Rare candy priority is for Mewtu at the moment, no candy left.
Raikou: 14/15/13 93%, is it worth maxing? I have a second one sitting at lvl 31,5 13/15/15 96%. I prefer two Raikou at lvl 35,5 here since electric attackers are rare and both don´t have 15a. This will happen when double candy will come one day.
I will use this opportunity to cross check my mons to get an idea for me to focus on later
Lv39-40 Machamp, Blissey
Lv36-37 Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Raikou, Tyranitar, Omastar, Gengar, Dragonite, Moltres, Machamp(x3), Venusaur, Sceptile,
Lv33-35 Tyranitar(x2), Entei, Dragonite(x2), Gyarados(x2), Golem(x6), Venusaur(x3), Exeggutor, Scizor.
Lv31-32 Salamance, Mewtwo, Lugia, Tyranitar, Snorlax, Groudon, Rhydon(x5), Raikou, Entei, Zapdos, Articuno, Gyarados, Aggron, Milotic, Gardevoir, Blaziken, Swampert, Hariyama, Houndoom, Poliwrath
250k dust doesn't get you very far if you want to max more stuff. Your team looks solid as is, so I would hold on to it and use it if you run into a situation where you feel an actual need to upgrade something. At the moment the most obvious targets are Machamps for gym fighting and Dragonites for Latis.
Thanks for your reply! 250 k would mean I could max 3 more mons out of the pool of lvl 35,5. Dragonite is the one I am thinking about too but it's a little tricky. The 3 sitting at lvl 35,5 all have IVs in the 89-91% range. Then I have a 96% one at lvl 33,5 evolved on community day. Then 4 other Dragonite at 31,5 with 84-87%, two of them with legacy DB (no DC). Then I have two Dratini laying around at lvl 20 and lvl 13, both 100% (700 candy). But do I need 12 Dragonite?...as for Machamp the best option is a 91% 15/13/13. 80k dust to max a third one.
I would say no, you don't really need 12 Dragonite in the current meta. If you want to up your performance in Lati raids, upgrading your team 1 is the priority, but then you'd have to max the 35,5 Dragonites whose IVs aren't as good. Unless you are very interested in going for a 3-person clear, I don't think your Lati team needs upgrading tbh.
91% Machamp to max for 80k dust is a good option. Depends on whether you feel like you need a third one.
Metagross is what I miss you are right and I will hopefully be able to land a good one soon...no luck for the moment, but have >200 candy to play with. Poison is interesting...I have a Victrebeel with double poison moves and thats it. Since I don't have a team of 6 ghosts the priority for Gengar is as a ghost type, along with Mewtu, but I think Metagross will cover those fairies, should I ever get one.
I would suggest maxing out any usable legacies, like body slam snorlax or shadow claw gengar and such.. Gen 4 still has some potentially stronger individuals, like rhyperior (considering it gets the moves it needs), which is why i would suggest not to power up rock throw, rock slide omastar, if you by any chance happen to have one (just an example). But it's always good to remember that some potentially stronger gen 4 pokemon could still get laughed at for bad moves, like kingler, which would be a totally different story, if it had learned something better than water pulse. (Still waiting for new water-type charge moves for kingler, so I can TM water-pulse from my 100% iv kingler.)
I don't have a legacy omastar unfortunately but a 100% one laying around...should it ever get a use I think I would power it up. My BS Snorlax is sitting at 35,5 but his IVs are 76% and it's not as good of a defender as it used to be...My legacy Gengar has 89% and also lvl 35,5. It leads my Mewto team and finds use against the latis too, but is it really worth maxing? It's so glassy...I doubt it will get off 3 SB even maxed?
