ALL I GET IS POKE BALLS!?

Anyone have any advice for using pokestops? I don't even think there's a way but all I get it pokeballs. I have almost no potions and I have already thrown out 300 balls within the last hour. Is there a way to keep your inventory stocked a certain way to get more potions?

Make sure you don't run out...there is a theory (it might just be my theory) that the more you have of something then the more you get.
So if you let something run out, you will find it hard to get more of that item.

It is a great system if you are collecting a lot of something...it gives more of what you are collecting.

But when you run out, that same algorithm works against you...giving you what you already have, and not what you need to replenish.

TL/DR Never let something important run out...because the more you have, the more you get.

Yeah but I clear out my pokeballs all but great balls and the potion to pokeballs ratio is like 10-1

Once you get more of a stock then it should start filling up quick...or it seems to for me at least.
Good luck

Thanks but for me potions are a rarity. Idk why it's kinda annoying considering I'm a lone instinct player in a town run by mystic thanks ninantic

And yet I keep getting Nanab berries.

I think it is just a psychological phenomena of some kind. I notice the items I have more of because I am not using them as much. The items I use more of I run out of faster and wonder why I am not getting enough.

That theory does seem to play out somewhat for me. I have theorized that the game encourages you to focus on collecting and battling. If you use a ton of potions (result of battling) then you start to get more and more pokeballs. If you collect like crazy without hitting a gym in a while then all of a sudden those potions start pouring in (not just a result of slow build-up).

Over the last 2 weeks, I have noticed that I get way more balls than potions/revives. My potion/revive invetory went from more than 100 each,(where I like to keep it) to less then 50 each, and I have not changed my game paly at all.

Addendum: During the week long water event, I figured that they increased the ball drop rate to compensate for the increased catches, but since then I wtill see more pokie balls than normally.

It's really frustrating. Since you can buy pokeballs in shop they should really reduce drop rate or offer potions in shop

I have noticed the same thing. My regular pokeball inventory has skyrocketed, mostly at the expense of potions.

This was 100% the case for me. The week or so was rough for potions. Barely any.

I was out late last night though and they started to finally come. See if things are changing now but I definitely noticed it too.

If you're spinning almost 1.5 pokestops per minute, I wouldn't worry about potions eventually showing up.

I've noticed a reduced potion drop rate. I suspect it's because they want you collecting critters instead of battling. They DO drop... just at a much slower rate.

i am almost out of revives. fine with potions. tons of balls. In my opinion they are discouraging fights so players kept out of gyms will be forced to spend real money during the easter event, which is likely to have special packs in the shop like the Xmas event had...

...or maybe you will need a ton of pokeballs for a the easter event itself :)
