Migth be a "good defensive moveset", but then again, Alakazam is not a defensive pokemon, so you migth not want to put him in a gym in the first place, it will deal a lot of damage to the attacker, but it's certainly not a good defender.

not good, confusion and future sight is better than psychic . attacker dont use it an defender.

Befoe FS came out, i would say definitely. In fact, I have a 95% Confusion/psychic Alakazam that I powered up to lvl 33.5 myself before gen 2. But now there are better possabilities.
