Aggron Raid boss difficulty?

How difficult exactly is Aggron as a t4 raid boss? And what is the bare minimum and safe minumum of raiders of defeating it? Pretty sure much harder than most of them, because of its ridiculous def even with 2 4x weaknesses.

Based solely on pokebattler sims: if using 5-6 fighting types at lv 30 each then you need 3 people, if using ground counters then 4. Cannot be done with only 2 people even with weather boost.

So what is the safe minimum? I mean the number of players that can safely take the boss down without all using optimal counters.

Depends on player level but I'd say 5-6 people should be easy with players over level 30.

Based on the figures, I'd guess 6 would be a fairly comfortable win, assuming people were using at least half-decent counters.

We did it with 4 last night. A level 40 & 39 each with 6 high level Machamp and a 31 & 28 with a mix of lower level stuff. We told them fighting and ground would be the best. They had 1 of each type they fought with and not really powered up. They both feinted out and reentered, the Machamps did not. We were fighting a weather boosted Stone Edge and I personally felt we had a bit of luck as he didn't use SE as much as he could have.

From this experience, I would say that if nobody in your group has teams of 6 Machamp, 4 could be borderline and 5 would be safe. Have good Machamp teams? 3 no problem.

Prioritize DP machamp even at low level over rhydon. A lvl 20 machamp has higher dps than a lvl 40 rhydon. Only groudon is viable as a ground attacker in a small group.

The only real danger is the fact that it learns more dangerous Quick Moves. Aggron has very low HP and somewhat lower Attack than Tyranitar. The nice plus is that you can add a double-ground Groudon if they're powered to your normal team of Machamps/Hariyamas.

Raid Bosses of the same Tier share the same HP which makes Aggron harder to beat as Tyranitar, since his Def is a lot higher

My impression is that Machamp felt a little squishier than Groudon did against Aggorn. Anyway, with a group of 6, it didn't seem difficult.
