Aggron question...

Is he worth anything? I havn't been lucky with Metagross so far but just caught a lvl 32 100% Aron in front of my house. Evolved it, got Thunder of course, changed to Heavy Slam and put a little dust into it. Do you use it in a special matchup or is he just good for defense?

I have a 100%, and haven’t had a use for it yet. It doesn’t seem to be effective, but could have some use in the future.

I maxed a lv34 97% because i love to spend dust and felt is was justified at such a high level. Havent used it much tho. Autoselect loves it.

Autoselect loves it for a reason. My team of 6 Aggrons works wonders in gyms when in a hurry because of how potion efficient there are. Despite not being the fastest at it, a Dragon Tail/Stone Edge Aggron wrecks havoc on Dragon-types. A single Aggron can take both a maxed Dragonite and a Salamence in a row and still face a third opponent without switching. In fact, that moveset seems to be the most useful right now despite not being SE.

Also resists all of Rayquaza's moves so can be a decent tank in that raid.

And it resists pretty much everything, including every move snorlax, blissey, slaking have.

Its pretty much the new autoselect blissey.

Saving a few good ones. Might be useful in a mega evolution.

He is outclassed by Metagross, but unless you have 12 of Metagross already I don't see how Aggron can't find a place as it is the second best Steel Type (beating Scizor overall). However I will leave high levelled wild ones (33-35) as it is and never dump dust into it.

I usually put 'team of 12' as a guide as this covers a team of 6 in a raid with your second team coming in immediately without the need for potions. If you slowly get more metagross, the Aggrons will be phased out eventually.
