I assume a great phone for PoGo is REQUIRED first of all.
Yesterday I failed a Weezing solo raid, because the game crashed 3 times and the only time I was able to complete the battle I started the fight with 25 seconds of delay+few bugs, so timed out.
Level 37 here...Asus Zenfone2 x/

Lvl 34 trainer here...tryed Arcanine, Gengar and Machamp so far. Machamp was absolutey no problem with some psychics and Dragonites. Alakazam is strong but dies to fast but you have the time to dodge in this fight.

Arcanine had FB and I used 3 Golem/Rhydon and 3 Vaporeon. Best I made was 3% before timing out. Vaporeon seems to not deal enough damage overall.

Against Gengar I didn't have ab ideal lineup of counters. Tryed with two B/FB Tyranitar as main attackers. (Don't have charge TMs yet). Gengar had SB as charge move. Dodging one charge move made a huge difference, so I was able to take out 35% with one Tyranitar and was well ahead of the time curve, my other counters just were to weak, but Gengar seems to be pretty difficult.

I'd like to try a machamp raid. How many cp did your pokemon have?

I did not think of phone issues. I think the article author mentions that he has a very goid one and advise fir restarting the app before each fight.
However I hope the article helps readers choosing the right pokemons.

Step one is to restart the app prior to every raid. My problems have pretty much disappeared after starting that practice.

Delayed start in raids could also be a huge factor in winning...This problem can be traced to different phone time compared with Niantic's server side time...

However, even on auto network provided time, I would always start 10-30 seconds behind everyone else...

What has fixed it for me so far (on Android) is to use an app called ClockSync and just manually set my clock.

I now "only" get a delay of 7 secs or so to start a raid vs. 27 seconds before when I was on the provider/network provided auto time.

I attribute the 7 secs delay to an old/slow phone issue now...

If anyone has this issue, try and see if that fixes it...

Great info! Over the past week, I tried soloing a Flareon and was destroyed. Then I tried a Machamp and didn't succeed either. I only have one psychic with Future Sight, and no Dragonite with Hurricane, this was my problem.

Next I attempted Gengar with an army of B/C Tyranitars, of course the thing has Focus Blast. That move can KO any Tyranitar in one shot! Took me four attempts, but I finally managed to win by dodging Focus Blast. B/C Tyranitars have plenty of attack, actually finished 10 seconds early when I made it.

I solo'd a Machamp. This was my team...

(The Gengar is a legacy Shadow Ball & that second Espeon has ZH/PB. Need TM's for it)
